With courage, belief in one's self, and a sense of purpose, a person can accomplish anything

In a notice dated Monday, April 19, 2010, it was announced that the Rock Climbing Gym located at Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship would close indefinitely Friday May 14, 2010.

The following statement in part was publicly released, “We are appreciative to all of our faithful volunteers – We are honored to be assisted with a variety of types and talented people. The Rock’s daily operation was underwritten by Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship and the liability and the potential liability is absorbed 100% by the church as well. Over the past three years we have been evaluating the viability of the Rock within the community and in the church as well. This decision to close was not made because someone did something wrong, it was made due to the liabilities involved in operating the gym. We are grateful to have been received by the community and a safe and positive environment where the community can gather. Though you may not have expected or understand this decision, I pray as a volunteer or participant receive our thanksgiving and appreciation for allowing us into your life. Though we have attempted to help relocate the gym to another location to be operated by another community group – we have not had a workable response.”
